Geocache Description:

Number 1742 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.

The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.

The area around Dymock is famed for its wild daffodils that can be seen around the end of March. Once a common sight throughout Gloucestershire, and its county flower, these small blooms are now found mainly in the "golden triangle", near the villages of Dymock, Kempley and Oxenhall. Each year these villages organise a festival, including guided walks to see the flowers and teas in the village halls.

At the heart of the village is the early Norman Church of St Mary, whose unusual collection of artefacts and memorabilia includes the last ticket issued at Dymock station, in 1959.

In the years before World War I, Dymock became the base for a group of writers who became known as the Dymock Poets. The group used to send out its New Numbers poetry magazine from Dymock's tiny post office.

The soft cheese, Stinking Bishop, popularised in the Wallace and Gromit film The Curse of the Were-Rabbit is made in the village. The cheese is washed in the juice of pears of the same name.

The published coordinates take you to the Fine Pair, where you will need to gather the following information:

The postbox number is GLxx xxxD. Let those numbers be AB CDE.

The number of the defibrillator in the phonebox is CHT-13-xxx. Let those numbers be FGH.

Checksum: (A+B+C+D+E+F+G+H) = 37.

The cache is located a short distance away at N51 58.(E-A) B (E-H) W 002 26.(F-G) C (F-B).

You will need tweezers and a pen.

Congratulations to elliottz for FTF.
