Geocache Description:

23 April 2023, 08:15 - 11:15

Time for our twelfth Annual CITO event to help clean up the environment we love so much! Without these Open Spaces, where would we hide our caches? In lamp posts??? The previous CITO Events here were great successes. Let's make this one even better!

This event will get you the 2023 CITO Season 1 Souvenir, not that it takes a special digital icon to get you to come help clean!

I am an Official Douglas County Open Space volunteer, so I will be heading it up this year with the help of natural resource specialist Jackie.
This event will begin at 8:15am, and go until 11:15am.

We will be focusing on Mullein Removal this year, and if we have enough volunteers, we will also continue to clean the frontage road that we've worked on previously. For those who have been coming, there is a NOTICEABLE difference in the park from what we have removed, thanks! We will clean up for a few hours, and then meet up at the picnic shelter for some raffle prizes.

Provided: Trash bags by Douglas County Open Space (DCOS), and raffle prizes provided by hosts.

Bring: Yourself, your family, your friends, ready to work! Gloves, extra water and snacks, shovel or weeding tools if you have any, jeans are recommended too.

Waivers will need to be signed, and will be provided on site. Any minors will need a waiver signed by the parent or guardian as well.
Please RSVP so I can plan ahead. Many hands make light work!
