While completing a U2BAChurch closeby, I came across this outstanding RSL Memorial built of local stone and took a moment to reflect on lives lost from this area.
The memorial can be driven to by turning off Old Princes Highway onto Lewis Court, or alternatively park off Old Prince Highway then locate and cross a footbridge to the coordinates.
The cache can be located at:
S35 05.ABC E139 00.DEF
where
A = # of surnames on Boer War plaque.
B = # dedicated Wars.
C = # letters in the country top right hand side plaque.
D = # EARLS at war during WW1.
E = # surnames beginning with 'C' minus 1.
F = # letters in surname beginning with 'F' minus 1.
Check sum - ABC = 11 & DEF = 22
The cache can be found a short drive away where there is a suitable place to park. A short drive further will provide you with a view of one of the major businesses in the area.
Please be aware of traffic as trucks and other vehicles drive frequently along Old Princes Highway particularly Monday through to Friday, and keep geo-minis close by.
