Geocache Description:

I have always been fascinated by objects in the sky! This interest has led me to teach astronomy and to become a docent at the local observatory.

Here are some of my favorite night sky objects:

This Open Cluster is called the Starfish Cluster

De Mairan's Nebula

This globular cluster is alternately known as NGC 6266

This was the second globular cluster in his catalog

The Crab Nebula was formed by a Supernova Explosion that was observed by the Chinese in 1054 AD.

The Trifid Nebula has three types of nebulae: emission, reflection, and dark

This globular cluster is also known as NGC 5904

The Trifid is so awesome that it is worth a second look.

This Galaxy is part of the Leo Tripplet
