2023 Earth Day CITO Cache In Trash Out® Event

This cache has been archived.

mollymarine: Thank you to all who came to clean up our waterways on Earth Day. Some of you braved the waters and the walk to the loading dock, others got in and out of the crevices of the rocks, some explored through downtown and the park where the festivities were occurring. It was wonderful to see so many people out there cleaning trash especially by boat. I even got to sign off on a student’s volunteer sheet! How rewarding. See you all in a few weeks!

Suisun Waterfront

Solano and Main Street, Suisun

2 options: Kayak or walk along the waterfront (The sidewalks are wheelchair accessible).

We are teaming up with Grizzly Waters Kayaking for an Earth Day cleanup of the Suisun Slough and the Waterfront walkways. James Berg of Grizzly Waters Kayaking has kayaks for loan for this cleanup. Please contact him to reserve a watercraft. You must be experienced in a kayak in order to utilize his since you will be independently kayaking. Otherwise, you are invited to bring your own hardshell kayak and life jackets. (Hardshell kayaks because of the reeds and other vegetation).

Reserve a kayak: James Berg 707-341-6141 grizzlywaterskayaking@gmail.com

Bring a grabber, a bucket if you prefer, and a friend. I will provide disposable gloves, trash bags, and hand sanitizer (I will try to bring water and snackies).
