🌟 Here is my cache celebrating my 11,000th milestone. It's been quite the adventure so far, and I have loved all the caches I have done. As is my custom these days, the milestone is either on Mnt Ruapehu or somewhere around it.
🌟 On this occasion, the 11,000th landed on a cache 25-2-2023 on TTSS - W North at the start of an excellent power trail in Tasmania, it also happened to be my first ever letterbox cache in Tasmania, so I think all that is pretty cool!Â
🌟 The Sunday I came here to place this wasn't all that pleasant as you can see in the photos, drizzly rain, and reasonably cold and a fair amount of wind was about. I had come down from Auckland for a weekend to place this cache and do some cache maintenance in the area and to do some general caching.
🌟 Sometime ago I had a conversation about this old road with a caching buddy. What you'll see here is the old road that used to meander up this hill to the skifield, no longer in use, but the tarseal is still very evident, you'll still see the yellow lines and the center line and not a great deal more apart from stones that used to be under the original road. I don't have any info when the new road was constructed unless someone knows and can tell me.
 THE CACHEÂ
🌟 It is a large medical container with special Gorby paper, inside a larger container with a shopping bag over all that hiding in the rocks. Please make sure it stays reasonably well covered and dry as possible.
