La villa è stata trasformata nel 1880 in un grande albergo in cui hanno soggiornato la corte della Regina Vittoria mentre lei era ospite a Villa Branca, lo statista inglese Winston Churchill in viaggio di nozze ed è stato scena delle registrazioni del film "Hotel Meina" nel 2007.
Attualmente è abbandonato ma di proprietà di un magnate russo ed è in progetto la sua risistemazione.

The mansion was modified in 1880 into a hotel where the court of Queen Victoria stayed while she was a guest at Villa Branca. The English statesman Winston Churchill was here on his honeymoon. It also was the scene of the film "Hotel Meina" filmed in 2007.
It is currently abandoned, but the owner is a Russian tycoon and its resettlement is being planned.
