ANG:
The power plant in Skalce, which is built on Selška Sora, is the successor to the first public power plant for the town and the nunnery, which was started on August 4, 1894 in Krenner's cloth factory near Lahove most. Thus, Škofja Loka was the first town in Slovenia to get public electric lighting. Since this power plant was already obsolete at the end of the First World War, they started building a new power plant in Skalce, on the site of the old Balant sawmill. The plans for it were made by Miroslav Kasal. It was modern and expanded the network from Veštr in the west to Trata in the east and Stražišče in the north. (Štukl, 1992, pp. 35-36) It received its operating license on May 16, 1922. Later, it underwent several changes and additions. (Koželj, 1994, p. 78)
The geocache is hidden on the southern bank of the Sora river!
