Radios were an important source of news and information. For a couple of weeks in 1944 the German POWs, having constructed a radio transmitter, were able to broadcast a short 10-15 minute long radio program daily. Much effort was made by the guards to locate the transmitter, but it was never found. This geocache is not hidden quite that well.
