Cache #188
There used to be a traditional cache here (the micro container may still even be about). However, this local piece of history is worth another cache so I have used the info to make a multi. A short walk is involved and all the answers are on the plaque - the coordinates for this are located at WP1. The sign nearby provides more detailed information.
I have placed the initial coordinates at the junction of the roads to separate from the Rutherglen Mega FTF explosion cache that starts here as well.
Michael Joseph Savage was a mine worker and poltical organiser in the Rutherglen area who went on to become the 23rd Prime Minisiter of New Zealand (the first Labour government). A highly respected politician - lots more information here

Cache is a small container, hidden in a traditional way. Please park well off the road as this is a busy road - it can also get wet here so don't get bogged. As with many bush caches snakes may be present. No need to jump the fence.
