Nineteen years ago when I started caching and cache density was far less than now, this was kind of a hot spot with 4 or 5 caches along the boardwalk. Overrover was one of a cadre of serious central Florida cachers who trained agility trial dogs. She was also a prolific hider of high quality caches often with and artistic touch. One such cache was hidden here in the dog area of Smyrna Dunes Park. Now time and Mother Nature have cleared all the caches from the park. She retired from the game years ago but has recently rejoined. Who knows, you may even get to find an Overrover cache sometime in the future. Today I returned to this wonderful spot with friends and determined to place a cache where there once was one of her hides.. This one is much more basic, but the location is special. Nothng in the conatiner but a log and some stones for ballast as it gets pretty windy here. There is an entrance fee for Smyrna Dunes County Park.
