The Preservers - Queen Bee

Queen Bee is a flying pollinator who aids in the healthy growth of plants, her rose scepter can pack a hefty sting!

Pollinators collect powdery pollen and aid in plant reproduction by transferring it between flowering plants all while gathering nectar to eat.

Agriculture depends heavily on pollinators. Honeybees alone account for about 80% of insect pollination.

In fact, one colony of bees can collect 66 pounds of pollen a year.

Pollinators are essential to our ecosystem.

TAKE ACTION!

• Keep a garden full of flowers that bloom at various times of the year.
• Minimize the use of pesticides by hand-pulling weeds.
• Build bat houses for your neighborhood.
