This cache marks the old road placed by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) when the land for building housing, stores, etc. was first aquired during dam construction. You will find two official markers nearby. When this section was rerouted, the original road was left, but blockd at each end to through traffic. a short entry was left and is used for dirt bikes and ATVs for desert access. Enjoy this little bit of history and watch for the many muggles zooming by on their off road vehicles.
