This cache is along a little known walk-way along side Waitete Stream. This stream, in Waihi, is an example of a well planted stream that has been revegetated with natives. The cabbage tree/tī kōuka (Cordyline australis) is fast growing and good for bank stabilisation, making it a good choice for restoring streams. There are also kauri, rimu, harekeke, māhoe, toetoe and mānuka.
