文化学園服飾博物館は、学校法人文化学園を母体とする日本では数少ない服飾専門の博物館です。
文化学園は1923年に創設され、ファッションの総合教育機関として日本の服飾教育の中心を担い、
ファッション界に多くの人材を送り出しています。
文化学園服飾博物館は、優れた実物資料による教育・研究をめざして1979年に開館し、
生活に欠かせない「衣」をテーマとした大学附属の専門博物館として、
学術研究の目的で収集された衣服や染織品などを広く社会一般にも公開しています。
