In 2007 I introduced my mom, Skoshie, to the world of Geocaching. She was hooked instantly. We would often get together and just spend the day caching. For a while, when my boys were young, it would be a family day out and great memories were made. Skoshie travelled overseas a lot for conferences and would regularly drag friends out into whatever town they were in to go find another cache. We visited HQ together, found the APE cache, took the pilgrimage to the Orignal Stash Cache, and attended Geowoodstocks 6 and 8 together.
In October 2021 Skoshie passed away after a short battle with Leukemia. I haven't looked for a geocache since, and I'm not sure I will again. This container was hers, all prepped for a hide she never got to complete. I've found all of our geocoins and placed them in this cache so they may travel the world and bring other Cachers joy. There are small cache containers and logs availble for the early finders, maybe a new cacher who's yet to hide their first can use one. There are stickers and unactivated Travel Bug tags. If you're an early finder, please remember to just take one, so many others may enjoy.
I miss Skoshie, Mom, every day and wish we could go on just one more hunt together.
YOU DO NOT NEED TO CROSS PRIVATE PROPERTY TO FIND THIS CACHE. ACCESS SHOULD BE MADE VIA SOUTH HILL PARK.
