Trumpington memorial is at the junction of Church Lane and High Street at the entrance to Trumpington Hall. The memorial was designed by Eric Gill. It takes the form of a cross with the monogram 'KR', the Greek initial letters for CHRISTOS and this stands on a plinth with a three stepped base. The panels are carved in relief depicting St Mary, St Michael, St George and a figure of a soldier. The cross is made from Portland stone. There are 36 names for World War 1 and 8 for World War 2. The memorial was first unveiled on 11th December 1921.
