Join us to celebrate "Blue Switch Day", the unofficial favorite day for most geocachers. The event will be held from 5:30 - 6:30pm at Blaze Brewing in Biddeford. Food and drink are available for purchase; no purchase required. Weather permitting, we will meet at the outside tables otherwise we will be indoors (downstairs).
What is "Blue Switch Day"? Twenty-three years ago, on May 2, 2000, the U.S. government flipped the switch and Selective Availability was turned off, suddenly making accurate GPS technology available to all. Before this day, accurate GPS technology was only selectively available. We’re celebrating the 23rd anniversary of this day and you will receive a 2023 Blue Switch Day souvenir for attending the event!
