The South Padre Island Convention Center is a multi use facility. It hosts conventions, car shows, quilt shows and the like. It also has a theater and hosts musicals and dramas regularly. There are walking paths and has protected areas for the migratory birds. The back parking area also is a popular place for windsurfers and kiteboarders to rig and launch from. Enjoy a walk and watch for wildlife.
