Roxbears Thought Spot Traditional Cache
roxbears: Papa and Blondie roxbear went out today to retrieve this cache and I think Park Rangers beat us to it. The cache was gone and branches were laid across where you would get to the cache. I must say over the almost 2 years that this cache has been there, all the geocachers that found it really kept the area pristine! I would like to thank all those that kept this park beautiful. I will probably create a virtual cache to lure other geocachers to this uniquie state park.

This geocache is located in beautiful Roxborough State Park, http://www.parks.state.co.us/roxborough/ There is a $5 day use fee. Unfortunately, due to all the wildlife, dogs are not allowed in the park. Please observe all rules to keep this park beautiful. The Roxbears hope you enjoy the cache. We left a fun camera for you to take pictures, we will post to the site when developed.
The geocache is reached by a moderate 2.65 mile roundtrip hike with about 500 feet of elevation gain. The geocache is located only a few yards off the trail, so please be mindful of the environment. If it has snowed recently, it may be hard to find. You have a choice of parking areas, but this one is the closest, lat N 39° 25.770' long W 105° 03.814'. Just a short way into the hike, there is a fork in the trail(lat N 39° 25.626' long W 105° 03.758')left or right it's up to you. There is a nice place to sit and look out towards the Daniel Park area at lat N 39° 25.240' long W 105° 03.577'.
The original contents of the cache are 5 Hot Wheels Cars, 2 mini christmas stockings, fun camera to take pictures (stays with cache), and the Santa Claus Travel Bug. After the travel bug moves on, we will put more into the cache. Cache box was not big and Santa took up a lot of space. We hope you enjoy the hike and views.
