This is a simple offset multi cache located in the village of Carnwath.
The memorial is formed of a two stepped base surmounted by tapered plinth, tapered shaft and cross. There is a dedicatory inscription on the front face of the plinth and on a tablet inset into the front face of the stepped base. There is also a sword carved on the front face of the cross with knotwork pattern carved around it. A cross is carved beneath it with knotwork patterns carved around it.
The final cache is a short drive away since I was unable to find a good hiding place in the area surrounding the war memorial. The final cache can be found at:

Where, using only the names on the 1914-1918 Great War part of the memorial:
A = The number of letters in the last word of the phrase in quotation marks below the list of names
B = The number of people with the first name Arnold
C = The number of people with the last name Spence
D = The number of letters in the surname of the Major.
Now look at the wooden bench close to the memorial.
E = The number of letters in the first name inscribed on the bench.
Checksum (A+B+C+D+E) = 23
