Geocache Description:


This is a two stage multi cache with less than half a mile between stages.

Visit the posted coordinates to help you solve the puzzle below. At stage one you'll find a lamppost that has has three main vertical sections, each with a different number of ridges or turrets you can count as you run your fingers around the lamppost.

Use the top portion for the north coordinate puzzle and the middle portion of the lamppost for the west coordinate puzzle. The number of ridges tells you which card fills the gap in each gear set.

Plug the numbers from the puzzle into coordinates N ab°cd.efg' W abc°de.fgh' to find the final. There is a coordinate checker below.

Figure the correct coordinates by figuring which way each lettered gear is turning (clockwise right or counter clockwise left). For example, in the north puzzle, gear 'A' rotates to the left so it should be 4, not 9.
