A space has become available in Archibald Park for a new cache hide.
Here are a few fun facts from the Auckland Council website about the park:
- Is named after James Archibald, who ran the Archibald Brickyard, until his death in 1910
- Parts of the park land is reclaimed (former landfill)
- Many sports are played on the fields, including rugby, cricket and kilikiti
- It has a playground, picnic tables and seating with views of the Whau river
- Access to the river via a boat ramp and jetty is at the Beaubank Road car park (open 7am to 9pm)
- Geocaches are hidden in the park!
