How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

If you are a new geocacher, simple hides lead to speedy finds and can boost your caching confidence.

Should you choose to introduce your children (or significant other) to your new favorite “sport,” be careful not to overload them with these type of hides, can be perceived as “boring” and may turn them away from sharing your excitement for this great game. (What? No swag? No beautiful location? No exciting experience?)

For some cachers, however, these quick P&Gs offer an opportunity to engage on a finds streak or be an easy way to add a Geocaching.com souvenir to your profile - especially if the weather is not cooperative.

And then there are those who are just plain GReedy and want to pad their numbers. Whether you like to admit it, we all like to watch our finds numbers rise.

Whatever your reason for choosing to conduct a search, this 10-cache mini-series fills in a cache gap on the northwestern section of Somerset. You will thank me IN THE END.

Don’t expect to find any writing instrument or significant trade items here, but you will have a rite-in-rain log sheet upon which to sign your caching name. Please pull completely off the roadway, which can be very busy at times, and use extreme care when exiting your vehicle.

Happy caching!
