Geocache Description:

02 May 2023, 16:00 - 18:00

This picnic area in Harry Griffen Park is shaded, has lots of tables, and is usually not heavily used. Even if the picnic tables are fully occupied, there are lots of quiet corners where a small group can sit. It is strongly suggested that you bring your own lawn/camping chair to sit in, sometimes all the shaded picnic tables are taken. There is planty of room in the picnic area to allow proper social distancing. This will be a quiet meet and greet and a chance to talk with other geocachers.

There are lots of other geocaches in Harry Griffen Park if you haven't already found them. There is a dog park a short distance away for unleashed exercising of your dog.

NOTE: Geocaching HQ is awarding a Blue Switch Day souvenir to anyone caching or attending an event from May 1-2. This month's event has been shifted from the usual weekend day to Tuesday, May 2nd to take advantage of the souvenir. The time was also shifted to 4 to 6 PM to provide an opportunity for those working on Tuesdays to attend and get the souvenir. Plus we can all celebrate a government action without which geocaching wouldn't have existed.

Plan B if it is raining or too cold is to go to Parkway Plaza and use the area where Trixxster used to hold events.

Note to newbies or out-of-town attendees. Don't be discouraged if no one posts a Will Attend log,the regular attendees usually don't bother.
