So you're thinking that 2-2 wheelers is from Pennsylvania, right? Well, yes, I am, but LC1500 & I have been coming to the ACM&G's for about two years and it's about time that we took our turn at hosting the monthly get together.
We often talk about the clever cache containers we just found or the fun gadget cache we solved. So I thot I would host an event with that in mind.
Thursday, June 15th
Kardaholey's Restaurant, 1730 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula (they have a big back room they are kind enough to let us use.)
5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
This will be a cache container swap meet. I'd like everyone who attends this event to bring a homemade cache container. It can be very simple or something you hope will give everyone grief to open.
Container ideas....bug with a log tube in its body
….bird house with an evil twist
….hollowed out book
….PVC project
….travel bug hotel
Bring a container and take a different one home with you. We'll draw names for pick of the containers.
Also, we will do a "Show & Tell" on how to build a simple "spigot" cache container made from various pieces of PVC pipe, a quarter and PVC glue. It will hold a nano for your log. We will provide a materials list for the project and LC1500 will show you how to put it together. This "spigot" cache is one of the homemade caches we will be bringing for the exchange. Feel free to video this instruction class.
And of course, if you'd rather not participate in the cache swap, you are still welcome to come and join us for the event. Everyone is welcome.
