Geocache Description:

The Royal Navy, HMS Discovery (1774) was a consort ship to James Cook 3rd voyage to the pacific (1776-1780).  She started out as brig, built in Whitby, and was refitted as a full-rigged ship for this journey.
On her return to England, she continued life as transport at Woolwich dockyard and finally broken up in 1797.

The autumn school holidays are a fantastic time for geocaching with calm, cool weather.  Its my favourite time of the year, so why not get out and add to my Finds and place a few new ones.  After spotting this location I thought its ideal to start a mini-series of Hamilton's wonderful parks, exploring the name and origin of each one to add to our knowledge of istory.

A tool may be required to extract this one.  Please make sure is nice and snug when finished.
An excellent Park'n Grab.
