NOTE: This is a replacement cache for the original puzzle (GC88C9T). The coordinates have changed, the hide style has changed, but the Bonus code remains the same as the original #1.

At the top of the log sheet is a 2 letter BONUS CODE for a FINAL BONUS puzzle cache GC82JTY; be sure to take note!

This is the first of a series of three caches along this walking/biking trail formed by what is left of the original Lincoln Highway as it made its way through Solano County. The Lincoln Highway was one of the earliest transcontinental highways for automobiles across the United States of America. Conceived in 1912 by Indiana entrepreneur Carl G. Fisher, and formally dedicated October 31, 1913, the Lincoln Highway ran coast-to-coast from Times Square in New York City west to Lincoln Park in San Francisco.

The Lincoln Highway was gradually replaced with numbered designations after the establishment of the U.S. Numbered Highway System in 1926, with most of the route becoming part of U.S. Route 30 from Pennsylvania to Wyoming. This portion is a part of old U.S. Route 40 (with sections under Interstate 80) from Sacramento southwestward across California's Central Valley to the University Avenue exit in Berkeley, California. (Note: Originally this leg of the Lincoln Highway followed what would later become U.S. Route 50, from Sacramento south through Stockton and over the Altamont Pass to the East Bay (now Interstates 5, 205, and 580), but was realigned when the Carquinez Bridge was completed in 1927.)

Solve the two Sudoku puzzles below to determine the North and West coordinates for this cache container. Then enjoy the walk along this historic piece of roadway!
