You are invited to discover the
Bear Cave Treasure
This is a geocache adventure for all ages, but especially families with kids!
Most of the journey follows a blazed trail in the Forty Caves conservation area, but the last leg will require a short bushwhack. The container is a large ammo box in a very special and unusual location. The ammo box contains more than the typical objects -- aside from the logbook, you will find several activities for kids to enjoy.
Please note that only the Trading Box (plastic container) is for taking and leaving items. The other bear-themed items should stay in the box for others to enjoy. Thank you!
If you have adventurous kids in tow, plan to spend a bit of time here. Bring water, snacks, and flashlights. This geocache is best during dry weather in the warmer months.
The closest parking is at the Allen Road trailhead in Berlin. The trailhead on Lancaster Road is also a good choice. Thank you to the Berlin Conservation Commission for graciously providing permission for this geocache.
Good luck on your hunt. The coordinates will take you directly to a secret place that remains unknown even to many locals. If you find it, you will join the exclusive ranks of the Bear Cave Treasure Hunters!
And remember, bring flashlights!
