CUBA STREET
Not to be confused with Cuba Street in Wellington. Our Cuba Street took its name from the New Zealand Company’s survey ship, Cuba, which cast anchor just off what is now known as the Petone foreshore on 4 January 1840. Aboard were a number of passengers and crew members whose mission was to survey the land for the colonists who would follow them.
Today Cuba Street is one of the main driving routes to travel from Lower Hutt City to Petone, and the shopping area along Jackson Street.
A great amount of stealth is needed when retrieving and replacing the cache. Tweezers may be useful to remove the log.
