Welcome to this geocache located at the former home of Canterbury hockey!
Unfortunately, the 2011 earthquake that hit this area has rendered the fields and facilities unusable. However, this location still holds an important place in the hearts of many old Canterbury hockey fans and players.
Your task is to search the immediate surroundings of the main old field (where the first turf was!) to find the hidden cache.
As you do so, take a moment to reflect on the rich history of this site and the many memorable moments it has hosted.
Who knows, maybe someday this field will be restored to its former glory and once again become a hub of activity for hockey enthusiasts. But for now, enjoy the hunt and happy caching!
