Mežaparka vidū, koku ielokā, jau vairākus gadus grausta stāvoklī atrodas 50. gados celtais izklaides parka komplekss. Patlaban tiek plānota vēsturiskās ēkas nojaukšana.
Koka būve ar trīs izteiksmīgām arkām un izklaides laukumu ir tapusi 1949. - 1950. gadā. Kopš uzcelšanas ēka ir izmantota gan kā hipodroms, gan kā lunaparks, gan kā sporta bāze, gan kā slidotava. SIA "Rīgas meži" pārstāvis Edgars Vaikulis skaidro, ka šī ēka ir tapusi talkas ietvaros, kur rūpnīcu strādnieki paši uzcēla sporta bāzes barakas Mežaparka administrācijai.
Universālās ēkas komplekss laika gaitā ir bijis pielāgots dažādām funkcijām, kas, iespējams, ir bijis iemesls, kādēļ šī ēka samērā ātri ir nolietojusies.

In the middle of Mežaparks, within a grove of trees, stands a complex of an amusement park that has been in a deteriorated condition for several years. Currently, the demolition of the historic building is being planned.
The wooden structure with three expressive arches and an amusement area was built in 1949-1950. Since its construction, the building has been used as a hippodrome, a Luna park, a sports base, and an ice rink. Edgars Vaikulis, a representative of the company "Rīgas meži," explains that this building was constructed as part of a collective effort, where factory workers themselves built the sports base barracks for the Mežaparks administration.
Over time, the versatile building complex has been adapted for various functions, which may have contributed to its relatively rapid deterioration.
