I am placing this cahe in tribute to the one and only local geocacher bluelamb03 and his classic/legendary selfie log pictures that I always look forwards to viewing on my caches! 🤳 Enjoy this wonderfully unique Canadian sculpture while you make your find!
The area is sometimes very busy with tourists/people taking pictures so you may have to wait a few mins for people to clear before you can make the find. Also note the GPS bounce is very bad in this area - trust your instincts.
About the sculpture:
Our Shepherds
by Patrick Bérubé (Montreal, Canada)
"Two shepherds stand face-to-face atop two sheep. The figures are notably joined by a long stick that connects their noses. This stick recalls both the long staff carried by shepherds and Pinocchio’s famously growing nose suggesting an underlying discord between the shepherds’ role as protectors and the clear evidence of their lies. But what motivates their deceit?
The playful blue colour and simple, symmetrical structure of the sculpture act as an enticement to consider our deeper meanings.
Our Shepherds speaks of those who take power and those who are led, inviting viewers to question who are the shepherds and who are the sheep."
