WELCOME TO WAYNE COUNTY
This quiet, rural community is predominantly made up of small and medium farms and has been one of the
breadbaskets of America for now 200 years.
Battles have been fought here, railroads have crossed it’s rolling landscape, and heroes are buried in it’s consecrated ground.
Rose is a small Hamlet with its share of local flavor and history. The Grange has a beautiful mural painted on the south side of the building depicting one of the old school cottage industries, APPLE DRYING.
The village itself has gone by a few names over the years including: Valentine, Albion and Rose Valley.
The original Soldiers Memorial Town Hall still stands on its main street and is currently home to the Rose Free Library.
The cache is stocked with commemorative items which you are welcome to take. It also has a few pathtags and a travelbug which you are free to discover or move.
Enjoy your caching experience during Wayne Counties Bicentennial
