Our favorite type of hide is one with really amazing camo. You know, the ones that make you think they are everyday objects and sometimes you even have your hands on them before realizing they are caches. Lamenting our lack of useful skills for creating such hides, the thought dawned that perhaps there was also something to be admired about the opposite of camo. And thus this cache was born.
A parking waypoint has been provided. The main trailhead is at the parking and should appear as a trail on the "trails" map view in the geocaching app. Another waypoint is provided for where the trail splits. The uphill trail is the one you want, and it will not show up on the "trails" map view, but it is there. That trail will take you to within about 10 feet of the cache -- absolutely minimal off-trail travel is required here, but it is a decent uphill walk from the lower trail.
I recommend the following mental soundtrack for your walk to the cache: apply the lyrics below to the 1983 song "The Politics of Dancing" (a 1980s treasure, the music video, is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLzDFbGdL5M ).
We got the message
I got it on my cell phone
The geocachers
Have gone loco
These guys aren't trying
to hide this thingy
It seems they wanted
to make it blingy
Though you know you can't stop it
When they start to play
You gotta get out the way
The opposite of camo
The opposite of, ooh, hiding good
The opposite of camo, aha
If this cache is understood... [REPEAT!]
