This is the cache that was placed so the attendees of the “KCSearcher's Junction .029.029 #087 BONUS #3 EVENT” event could claim an FTF. The attendees are permitted to log this as a “Pre-Publication FTF" dated 4/29/2023.
However, for those FTF Hounds that were not able to attend, you too can be FTF on this cache. All you need to do is find the cache and be first to sign in the “Post-Publication FTFer(s)” space. As an FTF Hound myself, I sometimes find it discouraging to see a cache published thinking I have a chance at the FTF only to find out later that it was given away as a prize at an event. I actually think it’s fine to give an FTF opportunity prize away. However, it would be nice for those that didn’t attend to also get an FTF chance. So, in that spirit, and as the Cache Owner, I am allowing FTF’s to also go to those that did not attend.
Why here? I looked for available gaps within 1/4 mile of the event that conformed to the guidelines for listing a cache. However, the entire area is saturated with caches so I archived “Eat Left or Right” to make room for this one.
