Geocache Description:

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CARAVAN OR CAMPER TRAILER ON THIS GEOCACHE ADVENTURE, THE RESULT WILL BE HAVING TO REVERSE A COUPLE OF HUNDRED METERS DOWNHILL.

Mount Isa is home to stunning scenery and equally stunning birds. From local species to migratory birds; some fly here from as far as Siberia.

Kalkadoon and Carpentarian Grasswrens are top of the list for most visitors as they are endemic to the region. The surrounding spinifex ranges and open woodland are also home to Painted Finch, Spinifex Pigeon, Spinifexbird, Grey-headed and Grey-fronted Honeyeater, Varied Lorikeet, Cloncurry Ringneck, and Black-tailed Treecreeper. Don’t forget to look up for Little Woodswallows.

At waypoints write down the answers to the questions.

Starting Point

Painted on the side of the tank is local fish such as bream and barra found in Lake Monndarra and scenery images from the nearby rangers which is teeming with local birdlife such as the varied lorikeet, the Kalkadoon grass wren and the black-shouldered kite.

What colour is the bream?

Other than fish, what other animals are on the tank?

Waypoint 2

The Mount Isa Family Fun Park is the largest all-abilities playground in Queensland! The Family Fun Park is built to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their level of ability or movement and to have something for everyone, regardless of their personal interests.

Looking at the whole mural - how many points are on the big white stars?

Waypoint 3

Say “Hello” to these giant Thunderbirds, The flightless birds were once part of Australian megafauna with one species, the dromornis stirtoni, reaching three metres tall. Also known as Demon Ducks of Doom. These life-size recreations of four dromornithids create a display of what these birds would have looked like fifty thousand years ago.

How many sets of legs are there on the Demon Ducks? Multiply your answer by 2 (Two).

Using your answers from the waypoints fill in the missing blanks in the code below and enter what was baked in to Certitude to get the final coordinates.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

A short distance from the final coordinates you can find another little prize.  -
