山崎川の桜は、日本さくらの会から「さくらの名所100選」に選定されてます。石川橋から落合橋までの2.5キロメートルの両岸には約600本のソメイヨシノの並木が続いています、この橋の周辺は閑静な住宅街となっており、近くには学校もあるので平日は元気な声が聞こえてきます。周辺道路は一方通行で若干道幅が狭いので探索時は、周りに気をつけてください。
