[ITA] La cache è nascosta poco lontano dal Santuario della Madonna delle Porrine, luogo di culto cattolico del comune di Ospedaletti. Il nome "Porrine" deriverebbe, secondo alcuni, dall'omonimo rio che scorre nelle vicinanze del Santuario o, secondo altri, da una varietà di fiori della famiglia delle gigliacee, le porrine appunto. L'8 settembre si celebra la festa della Natività della Vergine, principale festività del luogo.
Secondo la tradizione popolare la costruzione del santuario risalirebbe posteriormente al 1594 quando la rada di Ospedaletti, abitata all'epoca dagli abitanti di Coldirodi, fu depredata e razziata dai pirati; settanta abitanti furono in quell'occasione rapiti dai corsari. Il senato della Repubblica di Genova, per scongiurare nuove incursioni, decise in seguito l'edificazione di un torrione d'avvistamento, mentre la comunità si adoperò per l'edificazione di un luogo di culto, nei terreni di un certo Tommaso Rossi, a cui rivolgersi religiosamente e spiritualmente. Si edificò pertanto una primitiva cappella in località Porrine, ma il sempre più crescente afflusso dei pellegrini porteranno, a breve, all'edificazione di un nuovo edificio di culto; i lavori intrapresi nel 1768 si conclusero definitivamente nel 1817 e venne consacrato nel 1858.

Le nom "Porrine" dérive, selon certains, de la rivière qui coule près du Sanctuaire ou, selon d'autres, d'une variété de fleurs de la famille des liliacées, les porrines. Le 8 septembre est célébrée la fête de la Nativité de la Vierge, principale fête du lieu.
Selon la tradition populaire, la construction du sanctuaire remonte à 1594 lorsque le port d'Ospedaletti, habité à l'époque par les habitants de Coldirodi, fut pillé et attaqué par des pirates ; soixante-dix habitants furent enlevés par des corsaires à cette occasion. Le sénat de la République de Gênes, pour éviter de nouvelles incursions, décida plus tard de construire une tour de guet, tandis que la communauté travaillait à la construction d'un lieu de culte, sur les terres d'un certain Tommaso Rossi, vers qui se tourner religieusement et spirituellement. Une chapelle primitive fut donc édifiée au lieu-dit de Porrine, mais l'afflux de plus en plus important de pèlerins conduira bientôt à la construction d'un nouvel édifice cultuel ; les travaux entrepris en 1768 furent définitivement achevés en 1817 et il fut consacré en 1858.
[ENG] The cache is hidden not far from the Sanctuary of the Madonna delle Porrine, a Catholic place of worship in the municipality of Ospedaletti. The name "Porrine" derives, according to some, from the river of the same name that flows near the Sanctuary or, according to others, from a variety of flowers of the lily family, precisely the porrine. On 8 September the feast of the Nativity of the Virgin is celebrated, the main festivity of the place.
According to popular tradition, the construction of the sanctuary dates back to 1594 when the harbor of Ospedaletti, inhabited at the time by the inhabitants of Coldirodi, was plundered and raided by pirates; seventy inhabitants were kidnapped by corsairs on that occasion. The senate of the Republic of Genoa, to avoid new incursions, later decided to build a lookout tower, while the community worked to build a place of worship, on the land of a certain Tommaso Rossi, to whom turn religiously and spiritually. A primitive chapel was therefore built in the locality of Porrine, but the increasingly growing influx of pilgrims will soon lead to the construction of a new cult building; the works undertaken in 1768 were definitively concluded in 1817 and it was consecrated in 1858.
