We hope you enjoy the beauty of this park located in the Central Region. Bowman Lake
was established in the 1960’s containing campsite, a beach, picnic tables, a boat launch and trails on 653
acres making it one of the largest campgrounds in Central New York. Some of the trails can be muddy
after a rain and be sure to use plenty of bug spray to protect you from ticks, black flies and other insects.
Cell phone service can be spotty so be sure to load data off line or use a GPS. This traditional cache
could be in a high muggle area at times so please be cautious and respect other people enjoying the
park. The stamp is not swag so please leave it in the cache. Replace cache as found or better if camouflage is
missing. The area could be muddy after rain and have plant life that could poke or scratch so
appropriate footwear and long pants are recommended.
