This cache is located in the back corner of a property belonging to Addicks United Methodist Church. This congegration was originally founded under the name Bear Creek German Methodist Church in 1879. They moved to this location in 1948 after their pervious location, at what is now Hwy 6 and Patterson (where the cemetary is) had been destroyed by repeated floods. They changed their name in 1967 to reflect the new location and changes in the demographics of the congregation.
