Your trees, shrubs and lawn need winter watering in Colorado to avoid drought damage to the root system. Water continues to be lost through evapotranspiration, just at a slower pace than during the warmer months, and especially by evergreens. 1" of water monthly mid-day on a warm (over 40 degrees) day to let it soak in well, and not freeze in overnight temps.
