The Geocaching Event
WAGS is getting together and going camping at Medicine Rock State Park. We would like to invite others from the greater geocaching community to come and join us. The event will be a potluck dinner event on Saturday evening. We'll have a fire / grill going with some burgers and dogs and anything else that get brought. Be sure to bring some food to contribute. We can also pool breakfast for those who are camping, but otherwise, lunches and breakfasts are on your own.
Camping
Medicine Rocks is a Montana State Park with free entrance for Montana residents and an $8 daily vehicle fee for non-residents. Camping is $18 / night. Camping here is primitive - no water or hookups at the sites and a few pit toilets spread throughout the park. We will be camping in tents, but the park can accommodate trailers. Camping is first-come first-served, there are no reservations.
We are planning to camp for two nights, arriving Friday evening and leaving Sunday morning. You do not have to camp with us to log the event. You may come by for the day if you are local, or stay in lodging in Ekalaka or Baker if camping isn't your thing.
