Geocache Description:

The IGO Bucky's Challenge for 2023 is taking us to baseball fields around the state. I placed this hide so you would have something to search for and add a smiley when you visit this location.

This particular baseball field is in the hometown that I grew up in and has personal meaning to me. The field is named in memory of Lynn Koch,

Lynn and his mother and father were all killed in a auto accident on July 9, 1961 near the Iowa/Minnesota border north of Riceville, when an oncoming auto crossed the center line and hit them head on. They were killed instantly.  Lynn had one older sister that survived the accident.

Lynn was a second cousin of mine and also a classmate in third grade at the time. I remember playing little league baseball together on this field.

THE COORDINATES WILL TAKE YOU NEAR THE BACKSTOP OF THE BASEBALL FIELD.  THE CONTAINER IS NOT LOCATED AT THIS SPOT.

To get to the final location, go at an angle of 273 degrees for 218 feet.  A challenge checker is available to confirm the location.
