The three longest rivers in Latvia are the Gauja (453 km), the Daugava (352 km), and the Ogre (188 km). Despite only being the 4th longest river in the country, the Venta stands out among the rivers of Latvia due to the fact that the widest natural waterfall in Europe is located on it - Venta Rapid (in Latvian: Ventas rumba) .
