Folks in the spying industry have been making use of 'dead drops' to exchange information for quite some time now. "What is a dead drop?" You might ask. A dead drop is an inconspicuous container hidden by one spy to be found by another. Dead drops come in many shapes and sizes. Sometimes they might be in a hollowed out book, sometimes they might be in a hollowed out loose brick in a wall, and sometimes they'll be in a plain container hidden somewhere out of sight.
"What is the purpose of one of these dead drops?" You may ask. Dead drops are used to exchange top secret information and occasionally items from one spy to another without ever having to meet or know one another. A spy will come along, deposit information or goods into the dead drop and hide it. Upon recieving the go ahead, another spy will come along, find the dead drop, and read or collect what's inside.
Sounds an awful lot like high stakes geocaching to me.
Your mission should you choose to accept:
- Make your way to the starting coordinates and look for the first dead drop, some things are not what they seem. Using the intelligence contained inside, you'll know how to obtain your next set of instructions.
- Make your way to dead drop number two, this one isn't quite as devious as the first, your final instructions are contained inside.
- Safely make your way to the final drop, this one is easy. I've included an obvious hint for this one as GZ is close to an old shop front. The cache is in the public reserve and neither on, or visible from this building, please don't interfere with it.
This cache shouldn't take longer than half an hour and is easily walkable. Good luck!
