I love taking my kids to Kayak Point either for the day or for a weekend of camping. In the '80s my father use to take us there and it is fun to share the same place I loved as a kid with my own family. Beautiful scenery and great facilities which are actually about to get a big makeover in the day use area starting in July 2023. That area will be closed for the rest of the year but the campground and the Trail to Success will still be open, and this cache will be accessible.
Note that there is a parking fee to get in the park, and you should park in the Overflow lot either right by the pay station or before the campground entrance. The trailhead is next to site 15.
