When a well-designed geocache makes us smile with delight, it can feel like magic! Ever since way back in High School, it's been said that I possess a little bit of magic myself. Especially around technology. Hence part of my caching name. Building on the recent HQ announcement, we thought it would be fun to bring the community together and discuss the topic of "Magic Caching". More specifically, where the magic, or inspiration, or engineering comes from to make some of the more favorited caches in the area.
Join madzhunter and myself for an educational workshop. We'll review caches that inspire favorite points, how we decided to create them, and how you too can get inspiration, and tips for creating caches that bring in more favorite points that a simple pill bottle in the woods. We'll learn about guidlelines for hiding caches, and what to look for in a great cache location. This workshop promises to help you be a better Magic Maker when placing a cache.
Doors will open at 6:00pm and we need to be done by 8:00pm. There is a reservation fee required, but as long as we clean up our messes, the reservation fee is returned to us. Hopefully, a few can hang around after the workshop and help with any clean up necessary.
