This is a memorial cache for my dad, Joe, who was the original Treasuremart. The geek that he was, he got into geocaching long before smartphone convenience; downloading coordinates to his handheld Garmin and printing out hints and logs to carry with on geocaching adventures. He only ever logged 16 caches, some with me and others in our family. He passed when I was very young, but the geocaching spirit lived on in me, dormant for years. Eventually, I decided to pick it up again. Unable to gain access to his old account, I started my own, with my geocaching handle being created in his memory.
Today, I am placing a small multi-cache series near where he is buried. As he was an engineer, I've hand-made a small set of caches I just know he would have gotten a kick out of! Stage one is a simple virtual. There, you'll find open gates if you arrive between the hours of 8:00 am and Sunset. Feel free to take a drive or walk through the beautiful grounds if you so choose. The physical waypoints, however, do not require you to enter the gated area at all.
I'm giving this multi-cache a 3.5 difficulty even though the individual hides may be easier than that, especially for cachers familiar with this sort of hide. I think the longer task of multiple physical finds should be compensated in some way. Rather than getting two finds out of this, at least it will likely help increase your average difficulty rating and perhaps fill a D/T grid spot.
