Spring has sprung in the scenic Santa Ynez Valley, receiving near record rainfalls this winter. Superblooms abound ... roadtrip?! Afterall, May 26th is National Road Trip Day! If so, plan to join geocachers for one hour to explore a lavender farm from 12 to 1PM on a Friday afternoon.
There will be a short presentation on how lavender is cultivated and extracted to support products that use it. And this event plans to host a venerable mystery geocacher that resides out of state and many Californian geocachers will want to meet this celebrated hider! More details on that mystery geocacher as the event date approaches. Will take a group picture at the end of the event, so request geocachers wear something lavender, purple, or violet ... to attend this fun gathering and celebrate that Spring has Sprung!
Immediately following the Lavender Love II event, attendees are encouraged to drive to Nojoqui Falls for a second group picture. We will meet in the parking area and walk to the falls as a group at 1:30PM. Can't wait to see how the waterfall looks after so much rainfall in our area! There is an earthcache at the Falls so those who haven't visited it before may earn another smiley too: Nojoqui Falls
